How Do I Know When I Need To Replace My Wiper Blades?

• Split: If you notice that the wiper blade itself is beginning to separate from its base, your wipers are at great risk of becoming detached from your windshield entirely. If this is the case, it could leave you in a sticky situation the next time you activate your wipers, as you could end up scratching your windshield or being without an effective set of wipers when you need them most. 

• Worn Down or Unevenly Worn: After rubbing against and removing debris from your windshield time after time, it's completely natural that your wiper blades are beginning to wear down. If they're showing signs of uneven wear, however, you'll notice that they're likely leaving streaks on the windshield and are not functioning properly. 

• Cracked: If the rubber parts of your wiper blades begin to crack, it's an indication that they don't have much life left in them. If this is the case, it's possible that they've dried out due to increased sun exposure. When this occurs, it typically causes the wipers to drag or bounce on your windshield, rather than glide smoothly like they're intended to do.
